Charles is seriously wtf. So I shall include him in the weekly volleyball memorable quotes.
1)
Me: Charles why u so imba?
Charles: My hand injured la where got? (implying that he would be even more imba without the "injured" wrist hindering his progress)
Me: ....
2)
Me: Charles why do you play so well when u train for only 2 months a year?
Charles: Where got! I train in taiwan also
Me and everyone within the 5m radius:....
3)
Me: Charles why is ur fitness so lousy but you are still able to hang for so long.
Charles: Hanging is not dependent on abs, the key is to have a strong back, and I have a strong back.
Me: Seriously... WTF
4)
Charles was touched out by someone, when everyone turned to question whether he touched the ball, he immediately turns around to survey the sentiments of the people surrounding him, after in depth analysis he found out that 90% of the people playing the match knew that he touched the ball, he immediately raised both of his hands in an "I surrender" fashion and confessed to his misdeeds.
When questioned about why he hesitated to admit, he claimed that the ball nicked the tip of his fingertip and he did not know whether he touched the ball as he couldnt feel it.
As you can probably tell from the 4 examples that charles is a guy with an extremely intriguing personality, complemented with the pristine state of his integrity. His antics on court have indeed assauged our doubts about his honesty. Truly charles, I admire your perseverance and your willingness to fight through the pain barrier for the team. Despite suffering from a horrific wrist "injury", you had managed to draw upon your immense mental reserves and continue training to reach your optimum training target of a princely two months a year. For your info, you are the only man I have seen to be able to serve a ball out of bounds and spike so hard even with your grieviously injured wrist.
Last but not least, your ability to weave magic with solely your hair is astounding to say the least. I seriously do not think that there is another guy in this world who can change his hairstyle four times in a timespan of a month. From the retro "mozart" look, to the stylo milo spiked hair with a fringe, to the revolutionary "front botak but leave a fringe at the back" haircut which had single handedly changed the face of 21st century hair styling, and lastly back to the good old botak cut. You have seriously brought us through the different eras of mankind relying on just your hair.
Hope we train happily and may you enlighten us even further.
life can be a burden, but dun ever give up
